Deltek has introduced a new Maconomy Enterprise release designed to help professional services organizations improve financial visibility, simplify project management, and get more value from artificial intelligence. Ask Dela Delivers More Useful AI Insights

The latest update expands Ask Dela, Maconomy’s AI assistant, with access to additional business information, including expense sheets, mileage entries, draft invoices, and People Planner data. Users can ask questions in everyday language and retrieve relevant information without manually navigating multiple workspaces.

An upgraded AI model and refined prompts are designed to improve the relevance and clarity of responses. Cloud customers can also add PDF and Word files to Help Documents, allowing Ask Dela to search existing documentation and cite the relevant source in its answers.

Better Financial Control for Project Managers

A major addition is the new Project Financials Overview workspace. It allows project managers to compare actual time, costs, and financial performance against baseline and working budgets from a single location.

Users can review results by task, employee, or employee category and view financial information in the base or job currency. This consolidated view can help teams identify budget variances earlier, investigate potential overruns, and make more informed project decisions.

Finance teams also benefit from prospective depreciation functionality, which supports depreciation calculations based on an asset’s remaining useful life.

A More Efficient Web Client

The release introduces several usability improvements across the Maconomy Web Client. Updated status indicators use clearer background colours to highlight important information, while budget tables feature more visible summary lines.

A new Table Details component displays related records directly beneath a selected entry, reducing the need to switch between screens. Other enhancements include PDF output for Web Analyzer reports, improved column selection, more flexible data filtering, and stronger controls over employee profile image changes.

Simplifying Everyday Business Processes

Deltek has also streamlined selected administrative activities. Eligible jobs and their pass-through subjobs can now be created together, reducing additional setup steps. Absence management improvements allow negative balances to carry forward into the next vacation period, while enhancements to electronic invoicing provide additional formats and testing options.

What This Means for Maconomy Users

These updates reflect Deltek’s focus on combining AI assistance, financial transparency, and a more intuitive user experience. Organizations can benefit from easier access to project information, clearer budget oversight, and fewer manual steps in routine processes.

The release is also Web Client-only, making it important for organizations still using the Workspace Client to review their migration plans and prepare users for the transition.
