Epicor Prism Launches Across Australia and New Zealand, Bringing Industry-Specific AI to ERP
Epicor has announced the general availability of Epicor Prism across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities for manufacturers, distributors and supply chain organisations. The platform introduces industry-specific AI agents directly into Epicor’s ERP systems, helping businesses improve operational decision-making, reduce manual work and access actionable insights more efficiently.
Integrated with Epicor Kinetic and Epicor Prophet 21, Epicor Prism enables users to interact with live ERP data and related documents through natural-language queries. Employees can ask questions, analyse operational information and obtain contextual insights without relying on specialised analytics skills or switching between separate AI applications.
Bringing AI into Everyday ERP Workflows
Epicor Prism is designed to transform traditional ERP systems from platforms that primarily record business transactions into intelligent systems that support decisions and actions. Its AI capabilities help organisations interpret complex operational data, identify potential issues and respond more quickly to changing business requirements.
The platform includes a growing portfolio of more than 18 pre-built AI agents designed for decision-critical workflows. These capabilities support tasks such as analysing material requirements planning (MRP) logs, identifying shipping and carrier performance patterns, extracting information from documents, and helping employees understand ERP processes.
Epicor has also introduced Prism Developer for Application Studio, which helps Epicor Kinetic customers build and test ERP customisations using natural-language prompts. According to the company, this capability reduces the time required for these customisation tasks by an average of 60%, helping technical teams deliver changes faster.
Addressing Productivity and Workforce Challenges
The launch comes as manufacturers and distributors face rising operating costs, supply chain complexity and workforce skill shortages. Businesses increasingly need technology that can turn large volumes of operational data into timely insights without adding unnecessary complexity.
Graeme Evans, Epicor’s Regional Vice President for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, highlighted the importance of helping organisations make informed decisions by bringing relevant insights directly into everyday business processes.
By embedding AI within existing ERP workflows, Epicor Prism aims to improve productivity, strengthen operational visibility and help teams identify risks and opportunities earlier.
Security and Human Oversight Remain Central
Epicor Prism is designed to respect existing role-based access controls and data governance requirements. AI-assisted actions remain subject to human oversight and approval, supporting accountability while allowing organisations to benefit from automation.
Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, the platform draws on Epicor’s industry-specific data models and experience across manufacturing, distribution, retail, automotive and building supply.
Advancing Cognitive ERP
The ANZ launch represents another step in Epicor’s Cognitive ERP strategy, which aims to combine enterprise data, industry expertise and AI-driven workflows. For businesses seeking greater efficiency and faster decisions, Epicor Prism offers a pathway towards more intelligent, connected and outcome-focused ERP operations.
