Epicor Enhances Kinetic ERP With Smarter Manufacturing Planning, Financial Workflows and AI Insights

Epicor is expanding the capabilities of its Kinetic ERP platform with enhancements designed to help manufacturers improve production planning, streamline financial operations and make faster, more informed business decisions. The Kinetic 2026.100 release focuses on operational flexibility, browser-based usability, financial workflow improvements and AI-driven insights through Epicor Prism.

More Flexible Manufacturing Planning

The latest enhancements give manufacturers greater control over production planning workloads. Epicor has separated SHOPLOAD processing from the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) scheduling run, allowing businesses to sequence planning activities more deliberately instead of treating them as a single, all-or-nothing process.

The release also introduces the “Force Infinite Queue” option at the part revision level. This supports manufacturing environments that need more flexible capacity assumptions during phased adoption or specific operational workflows.

These changes are intended to improve planning predictability, simplify troubleshooting and help production teams manage increasingly complex manufacturing schedules.

Streamlined Accounts Payable and Receivable

Kinetic 2026.100 introduces financial workflow improvements aimed at reducing repetitive work and supporting higher transaction volumes.

Accounts payable enhancements include the ability to copy an invoice from a previous invoice, increase invoice-linking capacity from approximately 100 to 1,000 and use multi-select deletion capabilities.

Accounts receivable improvements include enhancements to invoice and statement printing, making batch processing more manageable. Supplier import/export and master-data maintenance updates also support more consistent financial information.

Together, these improvements aim to reduce administrative overhead and help finance teams handle growing workloads more efficiently.

Epicor Prism Brings AI Insights Into ERP Workflows

Epicor Prism helps users interpret information across ERP data, documents and workflows, enabling them to identify issues and take action without repeatedly switching between applications.

The wider Kinetic platform also features Prism Business Communications, an AI agent designed to streamline supplier communications and RFQ workflows. It helps users move from quotation requests toward purchase orders with less manual coordination.

These capabilities reflect Epicor’s broader strategy of embedding AI into everyday manufacturing and business operations rather than limiting it to standalone analytics tools.

Browser Experience and Platform Modernization

Epicor continues to improve Kinetic’s browser-based user experience with targeted enhancements for dashboards, shop-floor operations and tablet-based working environments.

The 2026.100 release also marks a shift toward a monthly continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) release cadence, beginning in May 2026. The aim is to deliver smaller, more frequent improvements instead of concentrating changes into fewer major releases.

For manufacturers, this approach is intended to make platform improvements easier to adopt while supporting continued modernization of business-critical ERP workflows.
