Announced on October 2, 2026, the deal strengthens NTR’s presence in the manufacturing ERP market and supports its broader growth strategy across Central Europe. The acquisition brings Aventum’s industry expertise and established ERP solutions into the NTR Software Group. The company is a major Sage Business Partner for Sage b7 and the exclusive Sage partner for Sage Wincarat, an industry-specific ERP solution designed for plastics processing businesses.
Strengthening ERP Capabilities for Manufacturing Businesses
Aventum has more than 25 years of experience in the ERP market, helping manufacturing and trading businesses improve operational efficiency, planning, procurement, and production management. Its Sage b7 platform supports business processes across manufacturing and trading operations, while Sage Wincarat focuses on the specific requirements of plastics-processing companies.
By bringing Aventum into its group, NTR aims to strengthen its ERP offering for upper mid-market manufacturing businesses. The combined portfolio will allow customers to access a broader range of enterprise software and digital transformation services.
The partnership will also create opportunities for cross-selling between the companies. Aventum customers will gain access to solutions offered by NTR’s sister companies, including:
- Datatronic Software AG: Business software and HR-related solutions.
- DPS Business Solutions: ERP and document management solutions.
- Sellmore: Customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.
- NTR Group: Additional IT services, cloud hosting, and AI capabilities.
Meanwhile, existing NTR customers will gain access to Aventum’s Sage b7 and Sage Wincarat ERP solutions. AVENTUM GmbH+1
Founders to Continue Leading Aventum
As part of the agreement, Aventum’s managing directors and founders, Dr. Markus Weyerke and Jörg Kenter, will remain shareholders and continue leading the company. This arrangement is expected to maintain business continuity and preserve existing customer relationships.
Aventum’s leadership views the partnership as an important milestone in its AVENTUM.1digital strategy, which focuses on becoming a comprehensive digitalisation partner for medium-sized manufacturing and trading businesses.
NTR also plans to expand beyond traditional ERP services by offering cloud hosting and AI-powered applications. According to Julius Rubbe, who oversees corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and product management at NTR, the group aims to deliver practical AI capabilities that provide value in everyday manufacturing operations. What the Acquisition Means for the ERP Market
The addition of Aventum highlights NTR’s strategy of expanding through acquisitions and combining specialised software providers under one group. Manufacturing businesses increasingly require integrated solutions that connect production planning, procurement, inventory, finance, customer management, and digital operations.
By combining Aventum’s manufacturing expertise with NTR’s wider software portfolio, the group aims to provide more comprehensive ERP and business technology services.
The partnership could also accelerate the adoption of cloud-based ERP systems and AI applications among medium-sized manufacturers. For existing customers, the companies have indicated that established support relationships will continue while access to additional software and IT services expands.
Overall, the acquisition represents another step in NTR Software Group’s European expansion strategy and strengthens its position in the specialised manufacturing ERP market.
